I just won a race.
There was a grandma with a crutch, a grandma with an electric wheelchair, and me. I only beat the grandma with the wheelchair because I took a shortcut over grassland. But she looked like she was having fun.
Anyway, I slipped on ice a few hours ago and since then my left knee has been growing this asymmetrical lump that's now in process of developing the most marvellous colours. I don't know how I managed to crawl up the stairs to my flat (and I don't know how I'll get down again) and how I managed to change into PJs (and I don't know how to get out of them again), but I made it.
I'm out of Voltaren and anything resembling medication, which is bad, but I've survivedworse similar things.
It'll either get better by the evening and I'll be able to get into bed and dance to uni tomorrow, or I'll sleep on the couch and visit some doctors in the morning.
Today I asked the most avid reader I know about German authors who have published good books within the last 15 years. She couldn't think of one either (Why do we major in German Literature Studies again?), so I went to the library to find some. I came back with two or three newer books which I hope will be any good, something by Erich Kästner (to remind myself why I chose this subject) and some Virginia Woolf (to remind myself why I major in English Studies, too). If anyone of you has some time left, I'd be grateful.
I need to get off the couch. Tricky.
